Described as “a sophisticated shoe with the spirit of an AF1,” this hybrid sneaker from Nike and revered French label Jacquemus celebrates the ‘80s basketball shoe’s 40th birthday, but with a big twist.
Unveiled in a classic ‘Triple Black’ colourway, Jacquemus' deconstructs the Air Force 1 - reinventing the silhouette in a disruptive way. Taken straight from the Nike archive with the ACG Terra silhouette, the midsole has been completely wrapped in a lace-like ribbon that makes its way throughout the entire unit. Keeping all the classic features of the AF1 - a full leather construction with perforations on the toebox for added ventilation. Unlike other Forces that boast a huge Nike tick across the lateral and medial sidewalls, the J Force 1 has two stainless steel Swoosh studs instead, resulting in a softer, more delicate aesthetic - contrasting perfectly with the somewhat aggressive, reworked sole. This is complemented by a special edition dubrae, which is etched with the “JF1” logo.
